When the sweltering summer heat is at its peak, a cool and soothing iced kratom chai tea is just what you need to get some relief.
Whether you’re an adventurous tea drinker looking for unique flavors or a kratom lover who’s tired of consuming powder day after day, we have just the recipe for you.
The iced kratom chai is a twist on a classic creamy chai recipe. Instead of black tea, it adds the natural benefits of crushed-leaf kratom to comforting, warm chai spices.
It’ll be your favorite relaxing summer treat in no time.
What Spices Are Best in an Iced Kratom Chai?
Chai spices are renowned for their warm and aromatic flavors. There are many types of chai that vary by country or region. However, the most common chai spices include cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and black pepper.
Want to simplify this recipe? Grab a bag of our caffeine-free chai & chamomile kratom tea bags to use in your iced kratom chai. This kratom blend is an all-in-one alternative, so you don’t have to get raw leaf kratom tea and chai tea separately.
What Type of Kratom Should You Use in an Iced Chai?
Our chamomile chai kratom tea bags contain red vein kratom tea. Red kratom is great for relief and relaxation—benefits that are commonly associated with classic chai spices as well.
That’s why we recommend red vein kratom for this creamy kratom iced tea recipe, which is a wonderful treat on a hot afternoon. When you want to cool down and soothe your body at the same time, a red vein kratom chai is the perfect brew.
If you prefer to use a different kratom vein color for your iced kratom chai, you can easily do so. Just use one plain 3-gram kratom tea bag and one herbal chai tea bag per serving.

Recipe Notes
Creamer: Chai spice and kratom can be a bit bitter, so we love using a sweet vanilla creamer made with oat milk to balance out the herbs and spices. However, you can use sweetened or unsweetened creamer (or no creamer at all) for your iced kratom chai—it all depends on your preferences.
Use Loose Leaf Tea: You can swap out the Chai Unwind tea bags for loose leaf kratom and an herbal chai tea blend (here’s one we recommend). Find more details on how to use loose leaf to make your iced chai kratom tea in the loose leaf thermos brewing guide or the stovetop kratom tea brewing guide.
Make it unique! There are many extra spices that will complement this recipe. We recommend trying it with star anise, vanilla bean, and/or ginger.
