Kratom tea requires a longer steep time than most other types of tea, so an insulated thermos is immensely helpful. Unlike a ceramic mug, which would let your tea cool down in just a couple minutes, the Day-Tripper will keep your tea hot for the entire steep time (and hours after that).

This compact 18 oz loose leaf tea thermos is built for easy brewing and traveling with your tea. Bring it with you on early workdays, errand runs, short hikes, afternoons in the park… Anywhere you can go, the Day-Tripper can [probably] go with you.

And while we’re obviously partial to using the Day-Tripper for loose leaf kratom, you can use it for any type of loose leaf tea or tea bags. You can even use the filter to infuse cold water with berries, mint, cucumber slices, or (gasp!) cold-brew coffee…

Remove the lid and tea filter. Separate the top and bottom pieces of the tea filter.

Add loose leaf tea or kratom tea bags to the bottom of the tea filter, then screw on the top piece. Gently push the filter into the thermos bottle until it clicks into place. Fill with boiling water, then screw on the lid.

Let steep for 15-25 minutes. Allow tea to cool slightly before drinking or removing the filter. Drink straight from the thermos, pour into a mug, or serve over ice. Rebrew tea leaves a second time to make a few more slightly weaker cups.

Remove filter basket and rinse out tea leaves. Wash main thermos bottle by hand with a bottle brush (dishwashing may damage the outer coating of the bottle). Lid and strainer are dishwasher safe on top rack only. Be careful not to stack heavy items on top of the strainer. Let all parts dry fully before reassembling and storing.
