Kratom isn’t like most other teas or coffee. Coffee and black tea contain active alkaloids like caffeine, which are highly water-soluble. That’s why they only take a few minutes to brew or steep. Kratom, on the other hand, has active alkaloids like mitragynine, which are not as easily soluble in water. So a long, hot steep will help you get the most out of your tea bags.

Add 1 tea bag, 1 tsp of lemon or lime juice (optional), and 8 oz boiling water to your mug. Put the lid on and allow the tea to steep for 15-25 minutes. When your tea is done steeping, it may still be very hot; push back the slider to allow your tea to cool a bit before drinking it. Sweeten to taste and enjoy.
