Homemade Kratom Seltzer

The Best DIY Kratom Seltzer Recipe

We all know it can be difficult to hit your goal for drinking water throughout the day. Who can deny that adding some bubbles & tasty flavors to your water makes it easier—and much more fun—to stay hydrated? There are now hundreds of specialty seltzers you can buy, from sparkling tonics to seltzer mocktails to kratom seltzers!

Among the different types of kratom drinks in the market, kratom seltzers are relatively new. You can find a variety of pre-made kratom seltzers for sale from different brands, including Mitra 9, Korthal’s Collection, and White Rabbit Energy.

Kratom seltzer is fantastic, however, if you’re looking to buy kratom seltzer, you’ll find that the ready-to-drink options—which are typically sold in cans, bottles, or other containers—come at a pretty high price. They cost anywhere from $6-$12 per can! So, we created a homemade kratom tea seltzer recipe that’s relatively much less expensive.

The total cost for our kratom seltzer made with kratom tea? Just $2.50! The price may vary a little bit depending upon where you buy your kratom tea bags, seltzer, and additional ingredients, like lemon juice or sweetener. Regardless, you’ll save a lot of money by making a DIY kratom seltzer instead of buying one at the store.

Plus, making kratom tea recipes at home can be a wonderful activity for a date night or evening in with friends!

Making a Full-Spectrum Kratom Seltzer

Many varieties of store-bought kratom seltzer are made with just one alkaloid—mitragynine—as opposed to the full spectrum of kratom alkaloids. That means you likely won’t get the same effects from a kratom seltzer that you would from your favorite type of kratom powder or kratom tea.

You can make your DIY kratom seltzer with kratom tea as a base, so you know you’re getting the same spectrum of alkaloids in your bubbly kratom seltzer as you normally drink in your kratom tea.

Instead of getting just mitragynine with added flavors and carbonation, you’ll also get mitraphylline, paynantheine, speciocilliatine, speciogynine, and more! So, before you decide to buy kratom seltzers online or off the shelves, consider the fact that if you buy kratom tea bags instead, you’ll not only save money, but you can also make a more satisfying kratom seltzer. Why pay more for fewer alkaloids?

All of the fun and flavor, none of the crazy costs! Make your own kratom seltzer at home.

No Artifical Colors or Flavors

In addition to getting the full spectrum of kratom tea alkaloids in your seltzer, you’ll have better control over what ingredients are in it. When looking to buy kratom tea bags to use in your seltzer recipe, you can read the ingredients list to find out exactly what’s included. You can opt for plain-leaf kratom tea or choose from an interesting variety of all-natural herbal kratom tea blends.

Whether or not you use flavored kratom tea or stick with plain kratom tea bags, you can add fresh fruits or other ingredients to your drink. From start to finish, you can rest easy knowing exactly what’s in your kratom seltzer. By making your own carbonated kratom recipe, it’s much easier to avoid any of the artificial flavorings and dyes that you might find in a pre-made can of kratom seltzer.

Just make sure to check the ingredients list of whatever canned seltzer you use to make your homemade version. Many companies offer flavored seltzers that contain only natural and organic fruit flavors.

Notes

Kratom tea: We used mango Red Bali kratom tea in this recipe, but stopped offering it in mid-2023 and now have Unwind red vein kratom tea bags. Red was the perfect vein color for a relaxing at-home date night, but you can swap it out for whichever variety of kratom tea variety you like best!

Seltzer: Any seltzer or sparkling water, flavored or unflavored, will do! We used a classic lemon-lime seltzer in this recipe.

You can always use this recipe as a starting place to create your own kratom seltzer flavors. You can use a flavored sparkling water or seltzer; add in extracts or flavor drops (like these flavor extracts); or add fresh ingredients like ginger and lime directly to your kratom tea while you brew it!
