Top Tree Herbs Kratom Stories: MindRight Wellness

Kratom Stories: New Retail Store

Now that the New Year is fully underway, we’re proud to announce that Top Tree Herbs is available in a select number of retail stores across the country and expanding. As we push forward with our mission to spread the benefits of traditional kratom tea, we’d like to make the kratom world a little more personal. In the coming weeks, we will be doing short “kratom stories” of some of the personalities that our tea leads us to. This week’s story finds us in Columbia, Missouri.

Meet Ethan Jones, 25 years old and already a seasoned kratom advocate.

Meet Ethan

Ethan was always an athlete growing up.  Fitness was something of his personality. That all changed, unfortunately, when Ethan underwent a life-changing traumatic knee injury while playing high school football. This was only the beginning of his streak of bad luck, however.

Soon after his knee surgery, he was involved in a bad car wreck . Strike two.

Worst yet, all this occurred around the peak of the opioid painkiller prescription wave across America.  Doctors, not yet facing the public backlash for liberal OxyContin prescriptions, were quick to prescribe him strong painkillers. Strike one: knee injury. Strike two: car wreck. Strike three: fertile conditions for addiction.

Rapidly, Ethan began to abuse pills and alcohol. From this depression he gained over 70 lbs. in one year, and was progressively spiraling out of control.

One day, a friend introduced Ethan to kratom without much qualification. Upon trying it, Ethan was amazed by how well it helped with his pain. He soon was able to incorporate kratom into his schedule to help manage his pain and kick his addictions, and he even lost all of the weight he had gained.

“Kratom saved my life,” Ethan said to me over the phone. “Without kratom, I literally would not be here today.”

Kratom, and an, “awesome girlfriend now wife,” he added..

Advocating for the Kratom Consumer Protection Act (KCPA)

On the road to recovery, he applied and was accepted for a position at a local fitness and supplement retail store. By the time he was 21, he was managing a branch of his own.

All the while, Ethan spoke out for the “beautiful tree” which had changed his life for the better.  He went to the Missouri state capital in 2019 with other kratom advocates to argue for the Kratom Consumer Protection Act (KCPA).  The KCPA, by the way, is a bill which is set to bring the kratom market into the light of day, and set standards for quality that must be adhered to by everyone in the industry.

Today, Ethan is working to open his first brick and mortar store, MindRight Wellness. His grand opening celebration is planned for this April!

Top Tree Herbs Tea Bags Are Now Available in Ethan’s Store!

Concurrently with the passing of the KCPA through the Missouri House of Representatives, Top Tree Herbs and MindRight Wellness announced that they were partnering up to offer a retail line-up of Top Tree Herbs’ tea bags. The timing cannot be better with the passing of the KCPA, and we at Top Tree want to thank kratom advocates like Ethan and the AKA for their tireless efforts on behalf of all American kratom users. Top Tree Herbs is working with the AKA to change Denver’s law on kratom.

While kratom has helped Ethan with addiction, he doesn’t want to curtail its potential. Similarly at Top Tree Herbs, our stories began with seeking kratom for a specialized purpose. Yet we’ve come to understand that kratom has benefits beyond our narrow personal patterns.

For example, our founder Sam experiences shoulder pain at times and uses kratom to live a normal life uninterrupted by sharp pains or mobility restrictions. I get anxiety from drinking too much caffeine, and have found that by alternating the days I drink kratom tea with the days I have coffee, I’m able to stay energized and focused all day long without having to worry about building a tolerance to either beverage.

The So-Called “Normal Kratom Tea Drinker”

But after having used it, we all have come to recognize that kratom has a much broader appeal, and could be appreciated by anyone who at times want an energy boost, a mellowing out, or a social/mood enhancement. Kratom is not a medicine in the United States. Yet the stories that millions of kratom users across the world share are undeniable, and we believe it has the ability to beneficially contribute to many more lives.

We’re very excited to be offering kratom in a manner that optimizes the positives while eliminating the negatives. With kratom tea bags, you selectively consume the alkaloids while leaving behind the undesirable leaf matter. Kratom has traditionally been consumed as a tea, and we believe that there is something to this tradition that is worth maintaining.

Ethan’s store is located at 814 East Broadway Columbia, MO 65201.
