ILK Forum Approved Vendor Spotlight: Top Tree Herbs

Introducing I Love Kratom Forum

Top Tree Herbs is an ILK approved kratom vendor! As many of you know, mainstream media platforms don’t love kratom content. The specific restrictions vary, but the general point holds. If you want to find good kratom content, you must really dig. Enter I Love Kratom Forum.

I Love Kratom Forum (ILK) is an online community for kratom consumers looking for information about this amazing plant. ILK was founded in 2012 in response to the burgeoning US kratom community. They’re one of the best resources for kratom consumer looking to stay up to date on all things kratom. And they’ve taken consumer education a step further.

After years of building their reputation within the community, ILK launched one of the first approved vendor programs in 2016. Their goal is twofold: highlighting reputable kratom vendors and helping kratom consumers understand the kratom landscape. As new kratom brands pop up every day, the ILK approved vendor list is an easy way to vet your kratom source.

We met the ILK Forum team a few weeks ago and it’s great getting to know them. They’re unapologetically pro-kratom and are all about the plant and consumer—our kind of people. As a recently approved I Love Kratom Forum vendor, we wanted to share our recent Q&A with them. You’ll learn more about Top Tree as a brand and why we’re so passionate about kratom tea bags.

A Conversation with I Love Kratom Forum

ILK: What year did you begin?

Top Tree: Top Tree officially launched in 2020! We’re a team of long-time kratom users passionate about herbal tea. We’ve had aspects of Top Tree rolling before our official launch, our kratom trees, for example, started growing in 2017. They’re finally mature and our fresh leaf initiative is launching soon!

ILK: What was the motivation for starting your company?

Top Tree: It’s all about consumer education! To us, there are three key pieces of information to know when it comes to kratom tea. The first is that kratom has been used as a tea for hundreds of years in Southeast Asia. And we believe cultural practices carry wisdom that can’t or haven’t yet been explained by modern science.

Second, nearly 30% of US kratom consumers say they have experienced a negative side-effect of kratom at least once. That’s way too high a number to ignore, and it mostly relates to gastrointestinal discomfort. So, we started thinking critically about the stomach and what could be the cause behind this 30%. Considering we deeply believe in the benefits of kratom, we started to wonder – is there a better way?

This brings us to point three: kratom tea removes the need to consume large amounts of insoluble plant fiber! If you’re new to kratom you might not know this yet. But eating 5 or 6+ grams of kratom powder starts to get iffy, quickly.

To us, kratom consumers deserve to know that eating powder is a fundamentally new way of using the plant. They should also know there’s an alternative method – one based on hundreds of years of cultural knowledge. Top Tree Herbs started as soon as we realized there was a huge difference between traditional kratom use and what is happening in the US. Our goal was to develop the first line of kratom tea bags in the world.

ILK: What are your future plans for your company?

Top Tree: We’re here for the long haul! When you look at kratom from a 10 to 20-year perspective you can see how important being in alignment with the science and developing a well-educated customer base is going to be. Kratom is in a unique and delicate position, and normalizing kratom tea while empowering tea drinkers is our best bet for a bright future.

To facilitate this bright future, we’re going to continue developing the best kratom tea products in the world. Crafting artisanal, herbal teas that our customers truly love.

ILK: What separates your company from others?

Top Tree. We’re here to help create a new narrative around kratom, and our kratom tea bags reflect this underlying mission.

A beautifully crafted herbal tea blend made with 50% crushed leaf (infused with organic natural flavors) and a melody of other traditional herbs comes together for a completely different experience than what most people think of when they hear “kratom tea.” And taste is not the only aspect we’ve revamped.

At our core we’re built around the simplicity of kratom tea bags.  Using a tea bag is a huge value add for people who already drink kratom tea. And for people who are new to kratom tea, it’s nice having an option they recognize.

ILK: What are your top 5 products and why?

Top Tree: We have kratom tea for everyone, so it’s really all about personal preference! That said, people love the new line of kratom tea blends. In our view, that’s a good place to start if you’re new to kratom tea.
