Tea or Dessert?

There is nothing quite like sipping on a piping hot cup of a red-vein kratom tea after supper. It kickstarts the gentle transition into the dream realm, and stands in as a good substitute for a sugary, post-dinner dessert.

Just because kratom tea can replace dessert doesn’t mean you should have to forgo the delicious impulse. Enter: Kratom Herbal Tea.

If you’re familiar with chocolate mint ice cream, chocolate mint bars, and chocolate mint wafers, you know none of these are associated with a healthy lifestyle.

Well all that has changed with the creation of Chocolate Mint Rooibos Red Maeng Da Kratom tea blend! Finally, you can enjoy all the minty, chocolaty goodness you love minus the guilt it normally comes with.

Our rooibos kratom tea is packed with natural goodness. Read on to learn more about each of these special ingredients!

Premium Crushed Leaf Red Maeng Da Kratom Leaves

Crushed leaf kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is the body of the tea. The Red Vein Maeng Da Kratom brings a comfortable, earthy balance to the cup, and elegantly foreshadows your impending blanket.

In South East Asia, day laborers use Kratom as a caffeine free tea to help them with their labor. However, the red vein leaves are known more so for conjuring a sensation of lightness and relaxation.

Premium Rooibos Tea

Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis), which means Red Bush in Afrikaans, is the main melody of the blend. In addition to containing many essential and revitalizing minerals, rooibos is loved a digestive supporting herb.

Rooibos, and thus rooibos tea, is endemic to South Africa.  The Khoi-Khoi tribe of the Western Cape Province, South Africa first started making rooibos tea 300 years ago. It is boiled and steeped for 10 to 20 minutes, and enjoyed for its exceptional taste and aroma.

In fact, rooibos has taken off as a caffeine free, vitamin rich herbal tea since its indigenous discovery. It has a natural sweetness and cherry-vanilla aroma which whafts from the cup and perfumes the environment.

The Food of the Gods, Cocoa Nibs

Cacao beans (Theobroma cacao), enjoyed for millennia in Mesoamerica, imparts chocolate’s classic thickness. And above all else, this central ingredient to chocolate satisfies that post-dinner dessert craving. Forget you’re drinking tea as the nostalgia splashes over you like hot chocolate memories of a childhood long past.

Popping Peppermint

All natural Peppermint (Mentha piperita) has traditionally been prized for its ability to help upset stomachs, among other things.  The mint pierces the tea with a warming excellence which accentuates the chocolate body.

Calendula Petals

Calendula officinalis is a member of the Asteraceae/Compositae family, and as such is related to ragweed, daisies, and marigold. It is thought that the active chemicals in calendula can help with new tissue growth, thus being sometimes considered as an auxiliary treatment for wounds. They bring a mildly sweet, peppery flavor to the tea. On top of that, they bring a soft golden hue to the tea.

Brewing Kratom Herbal Tea

The undeniably amazing taste and healthy qualities of this tea make it an excellent, calorie free, after-dinner digestif. Not only does it satisfy your late night dessert cravings, the kratom gradually comes to life like a massage after a long day.

Mmm. Savor your kratom tea. Drink it the right way.

How To Make Kratom Herbal Tea?

This tea is also great as a summer time cool down drink. Simply pour your hot tea over a glass full of ice, add a sprig of fresh mint, a dash of sugar and sit back in your favorite recliner – ah, sweet perfection!

Hot tea brewing method: Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea, for each 7-9oz/200-260ml of fluid volume in the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 15 or more minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the brew). Add sugar and milk to taste.

Iced tea brewing method (Pitcher): (to make 1 liter/quart): Place 6 slightly heaping teaspoons of loose tea into a teapot or heat resistant pitcher. Using filtered or freshly drawn cold water, boil 1¼ cups/315ml with the tea. Steep for 25 minutes. Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water.

Pour the brewed tea into your serving pitcher straining the plant material. Add ice and top-up the pitcher with cold water. Garnish and sweeten to taste. Lastly, when preparing this fresh brewed tea over ice, a good rule of thumb is to increase the strength of the hot rooibos brew since it will be diluted with ice and cold water.
