Benefits of Using Green Vein Kratom in Your Kratom Tea Smoothie
Most people enjoy green vein kratom tea for balanced effects that benefit body and mind together. Green kratom varieties are often considered an intermediate between the benefits provided by white vein kratom or red vein kratom.
Skip the Midday Slump with Green Vein Kratom Tea!
We love to drink green vein kratom tea when that mid-afternoon post-lunch lethargic feeling starts to set it. It lifts us out of our daze and helps us regain attention to our work or the other tasks we have to get done. Plus, unlike coffee, it won’t keep us up until 2 in the morning! If you’re the type of person that can’t have coffee past noon without sacrificing a good night’s sleep, we highly recommend you use green vein kratom in your kratom smoothie – that’s what makes it super green, after all!
What other types of kratom can you use in this kratom smoothie recipe?
If you prefer to use a different type of kratom for your smoothie, you absolutely can. There are many kratom varieties that suit a wide range of needs, so pick what works best for you.
You don’t need to brew up a fresh batch of tea for this kratom smoothie recipe. In fact, if you’ve read our chocolate kratom tea smoothie recipe, you probably know that we prefer to use leftover tea in smoothies – if we make a bit more kratom tea than we need, we’ll store it in a jar in the fridge to drink later. Oftentimes, we’ll then use this already-cold tea as the base for a tea-spike smoothie.
You can also brew the tea for your green kratom smoothie right before blending. If you do it this way, just make sure to add some ice to cool the tea down before you put it in the blender. Alternatively, if you’re craving a kratom smoothie but don’t have any pre-made tea and don’t have time to brew a fresh batch, you can use kratom powder to make your super green kratom smoothie!
Green Kratom Powder Smoothie Recipe
A smoothie with kratom powder will likely be a bit more bitter than a kratom tea smoothie, and it’ll also have a grittier texture. Relative to drinking kratom powder in juice, though, the texture and taste will be great. Here are some quick instructions for how to make this green kratom smoothie with kratom powder instead of kratom tea:
Ingredients: your usual serving of kratom powder, 1 cup of cold water or milk of choice, 1 banana (sliced and frozen), 1/2 cup kale or spinach, 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high for 20-40 seconds. Pour into a glass and add any desired toppings, like banana chips, shredded coconut, or granola.
How to Make a Kratom Smoothie that’s Nutritious and Tastes Good
Not all green things taste like grass, and this green tea smoothie is a testament to that. By combining kratom with ingredients like banana, kale or spinach, and protein powder, you create a smoothie that offers a balance of potential effects, essential nutrients, and last but not least, happiness for your taste buds.
Are Bananas Essential in this Recipe?
Including a banana in your kratom smoothie adds several nutritional benefits. Bananas are one of many excellent source of potassium, which is essential for maintaining proper heart and muscle function. They also provide dietary fiber, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and various antioxidants. Additionally, banana will add natural sweetness and a creamy texture to your smoothie.
If you don’t like bananas, there are many other fruits you can substitute that’ll add nutrients as well as natural sweetness or creaminess. Some of our favorites include avocados, pears, papaya, and mangoes.

Other Super Green Kratom Smoothie Benefits
To hit your veggie goals, add a heaping 1/2 cup of kale or spinach to your smoothie, or more if you don’t mind reducing having a smoothie that’s a bit more bitter. These nutrient-dense leafy greens are rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as folate and minerals like iron and calcium. These greens also contain beneficial compounds such as antioxidants and phytonutrients, which may support overall health and well-being. So including kale or spinach in your kratom smoothie will provide an added boost of essential nutrients and create a well-rounded nutritional profile.
Adding protein powder to your kratom smoothie can help promote satiety, making you feel fuller for longer. Opting for a high-quality protein powder, such as pea, hemp, or rice protein, can provide essential amino acids and support your body’s protein needs.
Remember to consult with a healthcare professional or nutritionist for personalized advice and to ensure the smoothie aligns with your dietary needs and health goals.

Notes
Tea preparation: Kratom smoothies work great with leftover tea that’s already been chilled in the fridge for a few hours. You can brew your tea right before blending and add ice to chill it, but your smoothie may be a bit thinner.
Protein powder: We recommend using vanilla protein powder for added flavor, but your can choose whatever option you prefer. Keep in mind that sweetened protein powders may make your kratom smoothie overly sweet (depending on what your preferences are). Ka’Chava and Vega both have great vanilla protein powders.
